It's not as cool as barcode scanning, but it works around the region-specific issue for items that are sold on Amazon, but not in your country. You can do a title or creator search from the Search bar in the upper-right corner of D元. Yes, D元 uses the Amazon API, and barcodes are region-specific. So program only works proper for Amazon sold stuf which should be mentioned in the program description. no pictures of covers can be added and there is no field for film-length. The library can easily be filled by scanning bar codes of products sold by Amazon (user to pre-select Amazon country first) which means anything not sold via Amazon cannot be found and Amazon is very small in the Netherlands meaning most info has to be added by hand.įor entering by hand, limited fields are available, e.g. Very limited results when scanning non Amazon sold stuff Which is why I've only give the app a 4 star rating! It's just a shame I can't find a quick fix to copy all the covers in one go together with titles.
